Men's Long Sleeves T-shirt Sewing Pattern 'Maddy'

My first neckband went on a little wavy because I stretched the fabric unevenly, but that was my technique rather than a pattern issue. I unpicked it, followed the instructions more carefully the second time, and it came out neatly. The rest of the pattern was straightforward and the result is a shirt I am proud to give as a gift.

My husband has shorter arms than average, so I removed two centimetres from the sleeve length before cutting. The adjustment was simple to make and required no other changes to the pattern. The finished shirt fits him perfectly in a way that off-the-rack never quite manages.

I used this as a starting point and added a contrast cuff and a small chest pocket in a coordinating fabric. The pattern is drafted with enough ease to accommodate small modifications without distorting the fit. It is now one of my go-to blocks for casual menswear projects.
