Men's Short Sleeves Shirt Sewing Pattern 'Paul'

I made size 40 for my husband and followed the finished garment measurements instead of guessing, which really paid off. The shoulders and chest fit well right out of the gate, and I only shortened the hem by about an inch. It looks neat without feeling restrictive, which was exactly what I wanted.

I�d call myself an intermediate sewist and this felt like a calm, logical project. The steps flowed well, especially the collar and placket, and I didn�t have to unpick anything major. I finished it over a relaxed weekend without feeling rushed.

This was my first men�s shirt and I was nervous going in, but the instructions were very readable. I liked that nothing felt assumed, especially around sleeve attachment and collar construction. I took my time and ended up with a shirt I�m genuinely proud of.

I used the projector file and everything aligned cleanly, which saved me a lot of prep time. The pieces were well spaced and clearly labeled, so cutting felt efficient instead of stressful. I appreciate that the projector version didn�t feel like an afterthought.

I used a lightweight cotton poplin, and the structure of the shirt came through nicely without feeling stiff. The pattern works well with woven fabrics that have a bit of body. After pressing, it honestly looks store-bought.
