Men's Formal Shirt Sewing Pattern 'Patrick'

This was my first time sewing a men�s shirt and I took it slow, but the steps were laid out clearly enough to follow. I made a size 40 in cotton poplin and appreciated how the collar and placket were broken down. The finished shirt looks clean and professional, which felt very rewarding as a beginner.

I�ve avoided shirt collars before, but the instructions here were clear and logical. I used a lightweight oxford for size 42 and the collar sat flat without fuss. Seeing it come together properly gave me a lot more confidence.

I sewed a size 44 and did a small sleeve length adjustment for my arms. The proportions worked well straight out of the pattern, especially across the shoulders. It honestly fits me better than most ready-made shirts.

I wanted a timeless formal shirt and this delivered exactly that. I used a crisp cotton sateen and followed the pattern as written in size 38. The yoke and cuffs give it a really polished finish.

I cut this entirely using the projector files and everything aligned perfectly. I made size 40 and appreciated not having to tape anything together. It saved time and made the cutting process much calmer.
