I made Cedar in a rayon challis that cost a few pounds per metre and the finished blouse looks like an expensive purchase. The pattern price is small and the fabric requirements are modest, so the total outlay for a blouse I'll wear constantly is remarkably low. Pretty design, neckline could use more guidance

The blouse is lovely and I've worn it several times already. The only place I hesitated was the instruction for the neckline facing clip allowances — the text described where to clip but without a close-up diagram I had to guess at the intervals. My finish turned out fine but a photograph at that step would remove all uncertainty for less experienced sewists.

I added a self-fabric tie through the side seams to create a wrap effect and slightly more shape. The modification was easy to engineer because the side seams are clean and straight, giving me a natural place to create the tie channels. My modified Cedar has a completely different silhouette from the original and I like it even more.
