How do you define your pattern Skill Levels?
To ensure consistency in defining the skill levels of our sewing patterns,we have created a matrix to help you understand why we have assigned specific levels to each product. For detailed information on how we define our pattern skill levels and why certain patterns are categorized as such, please refer to the provided matrix.
How do I figure out the right size?
Before selecting a pattern size, take accurate measurements of your bust, waist, and hips. Choose the size from our chart that closely aligns with your measurements.
If your bust/waist/hip measurements align with different sizes, you would want to choose the size based on the apparel category or the garment fit and make adjustments to blend sizes. For example, prefer the size based on your bust measurement for making a top, and waist measurement for a relaxed dress cinched at the waist.
If your measurements fall between sizes, consider the fit you prefer (looser or tighter) and the type of fabric you'll use, as some fabrics have more give. All patterns include finished garment measurements which can be helpful to know how much ease or extra room is built into the design.
