I'm really happy with the Amelia overall — the fit in ponte is excellent and they look properly formal. The zip fly instructions required me to read through twice before I understood the sequence, though once it clicked the construction made complete sense. Added turn-ups for a classic tailored look

I added about five centimetres to the hem allowance before cutting so I could fold up a turn-up on each leg. The result is a more classic tailored silhouette that I prefer. The modification required no changes to the pattern itself, just planning the hem length in advance.

How do I figure out the right size?

If your bust/waist/hip measurements align with different sizes, you would want to choose the size based on the apparel category or the garment fit and make adjustments to blend sizes. For example, prefer the size based on your bust measurement for making a top, and waist measurement for a relaxed dress cinched at the waist. 
If your measurements fall between sizes, consider the fit you prefer (looser or tighter) and the type of fabric you'll use, as some fabrics have more give. All patterns include finished garment measurements which can be helpful to know how much ease or extra room is built into the design.
