- D. Strap — Cut 2 fabric
- E. Top Binding — Cut 2 fabric
- F. Front Bottom — Cut 1 fabric
- G. Back Bottom — Cut 1 fabric

If printing at home, use the A4/US Letter pattern. For copy-shop printing, use the A0 pattern.
Pattern Marking

Transfer all pattern markings before sewing, including:
- Grainlines
- Waist markings
- Underbust markings
- Side seams
- Neckline
- Back across
- Leg openings
- Crotch markings
- Gusset top edge
- Pad opening
- Seam allowance guides
Accurate markings help ensure proper alignment and garment construction throughout the sewing process.
Cutting Layout

Arrange your pattern pieces according to the recommended layouts for either 45-inch or 60-inch wide fabric.
Ensure that each grainline runs parallel to the fabric selvage before pinning and cutting. The layouts shown are intended for non-directional fabrics. If your fabric has a nap or directional print, purchase extra yardage to accommodate the layout. The illustrated layouts use a US size 12 as an example.
Fabric Cutting and Preparation
Arrange the pattern pieces according to the cutting layout diagrams, making sure the grainline arrows remain parallel to the selvage.
Trace and cut each piece carefully, trimming precisely along the cutting lines and clipping all required notches. Transfer pattern markings such as circles, fold lines, and other construction references to the wrong side of the fabric. Mark the center front on any pieces cut on the fold to simplify assembly later.
Seam Allowance
Please follow the seam allowances as indicated on the pattern file layers. These are provided specifically for each piece to ensure accurate construction.
This pattern uses a 1 cm (3/8 inch) seam allowance all around except armholes, neckline and leg openings.
Step-by-Step Sewing Instructions
Pro Tip: Pinning the pieces before sewing is always helpful. It is recommended to press the pattern pieces after every step for a better sewing experience. If you use a different fabric for the lining in practice, remember that the guide illustrates it in a contrasting color only to make construction easier to understand.
1. Prepare the Front Lining
Serge both pad openings on the Front Lining Top to create a clean finish before assembling the bikini top.
2. Prepare the Bikini Top with the Lining
2a. Place the Front Lining Top and Back lining pieces with their right sides together.
2b. Align the side seams and overlock both side seams.
2c. Repeat the same process for the main Front Top and Back pieces.
3. Attach the Lining
3a. Turn the completed main bikini top right side out.
Insert the prepared lining (wrong side out) inside the main top.
3b. Match the Back Lining with the Back Top and the Front Lining with the Front Top, keeping the wrong sides facing each other.
Pin the layers together carefully.
4. Prepare the Adjustable Shoulder Straps
4a. Fold the back piece in half, then fold it again into four equal sections to create three crease lines. Mark the outer two crease lines on the back across as the strap placement points.
Repeat the same folding method along the front neckline to mark the front strap placement points.
4b. Cut the straps to the lengths specified in the sewing guide.
4c. Thread one long strap through an adjustable slide buckle, fold the end back, and secure it with lock stitches and backstitches.
4d. Pass the free end of the strap through one loop ring.
4e. Bring the strap back through the adjustable slide buckle to complete the adjustable strap.
4f. Repeat the same process to prepare the second adjustable strap.
4g. Take a 4.5-inch strap, pass approximately 1 inch through the loop ring, then secure it with lock stitches and backstitches.
Repeat this step for the second short strap to complete the strap assembly.
5. Finish the Neckline, Back, and Underbust with Binding
5a. Prepare the binder attachment as illustrated in the sewing guide.
5b. Position the binding and garment correctly before sewing.
5c. Insert the Top Binding into the binder attachment and stitch approximately 3/8 inch to secure the fold.
Beginning at one side seam, feed the neckline seam allowance into the binder and continue stitching around the front neckline, back across, and back to the starting point.
Leave approximately 1 inch of unstitched binding before trimming the excess.
5d. Fold the final ½ inch of binding toward the wrong side.
Overlap the starting edge of the binding and secure it with a lock stitch along the existing stitching line.
Finish by sewing perpendicular to the binding edge to secure the overlap.
Repeat the same process to bind the underbust edge using the second binding strip.
Alternative: If you prefer not to use binding, fold the seam allowance toward the wrong side and finish it with a coverstitch or narrow zigzag stitch. Repeat this method for the neckline, back edge, and underbust.
6. Attach the Shoulder Straps
Place one completed strap on the marked strap point on the lining side.
Position the shorter strap end toward the back and the longer adjustable end toward the neckline.
Align the lower edge of the binding with the strap end and secure it using several backstitches.
Repeat the same process for the remaining strap at the opposite strap points on the neckline and back.
7. Prepare the Bikini Bottoms
7a. Serge the top edge of the Gusset.
7b. Place the right side of the Gusset against the wrong side of the Back Bottom.
Position the Front Bottom over the Back Bottom with right sides together.
Align the crotch seam and overlock through all layers.
7c. Spread the Front Bottom and Back Bottom open with the wrong side facing upward.
7d. Fold the Gusset over the Front Bottom, align the leg opening edges, and baste the gusset seam allowance to the Front Bottom to hold everything in place before finishing the remaining construction.
8. Finish the Leg Openings and Waist
Using the same binding technique described for the bikini top, finish the leg openings and waist edge of the bikini bottoms.
If using a binder attachment:
- Insert the binding into the binder.
- Feed the seam allowance through evenly.
- Overlap the binding ends neatly and secure them with a lock stitch followed by a perpendicular stitch.
If you prefer not to use binding, fold the seam allowance toward the wrong side and secure it with a coverstitch or narrow zigzag stitch for a clean stretch finish.
