- Lurex
- Glitter mesh

The sample garment is sewn using poly sequin knit fabric, chosen because it is:

For the lining, use a lightweight knit such as jersey. The sample dress is lined with poly jersey.
Size Charts
Check the size charts and measure yourself to select the correct size, using the garment and body measurement tables in the guide.
Verify how much fabric you need by referencing the fabric yield table in the guide.

Main Fabric

- B. Back bodice — Cut 1
- C. Front skirt — Cut 1
- D. Back skirt — Cut 1
Lining

- Use the A0 files for copy shop printing.
Pattern Marking

Transfer all pattern markings before sewing.
The pattern includes markings for:
- Grainlines
- Seam allowances
- Side seams
- Center front notch
- Dart notches
- Underbust seam
- Neckline
- Back across seam
- Hem
Apply the same markings to the lining pieces to ensure accurate assembly.
Cutting Layout

Follow the cutting layout diagrams provided in the sewing guide to ensure every piece is cut on grain.
The layouts are provided for both:
- 45-inch wide fabric
- 60-inch wide fabric
The layouts apply to both the main fabric and lining.
The guide notes:
- Pin pattern pieces securely before cutting.
- The illustrated layouts are non-directional.
- Purchase additional fabric if using fabrics with nap or directional prints.
- The illustrated layouts use the Extra Large size for representation.
Fabric Cutting and Preparation
Arrange the pattern pieces according to the cutting layout diagrams, ensuring each grainline runs parallel to the fabric selvage.
Trace and cut each pattern piece carefully, removing any visible chalk or marking lines. Be sure to clip all notches, as these help align the pieces during construction.
Transfer all required pattern markings—including circles, buttonholes, fold lines, and the center front marking—to the wrong side of the fabric before beginning assembly.
Seam Allowance
Please follow the seam allowances as indicated on the pattern file layers. These are provided specifically for each piece to ensure accurate construction.
This pattern uses a 1.3 cm (or 1/2" inch) seam allowance all around and 2.5 cm (or 1" inch) at the hem.
Step-by-Step Sewing Instructions
Follow the sewing guide in order for the best results. Pin the pieces before sewing whenever possible, and press the garment after each step to help achieve a professional finish.
1. Finish the Darts
1a. Fold each dart on the front bodice with the right sides together, matching the dart legs. Sew along the dart line on the wrong side of the fabric. Repeat for the second dart.
1b. Press the completed darts toward the side seams to reduce bulk.
Repeat Steps 1a–1b for the front bodice lining.
2. Attach the Underbust Seam
2a. Place the front bodice over the front skirt with right sides together, aligning the underbust seamline. Pin and overlock to join the two pieces.
2b. Press the seam open.
2c. Repeat Steps 2a–2b for the front lining pieces.
3. Attach the Back Panel
3a. Place the back bodice over the back skirt with right sides together, aligning the back panel seamline. Pin and overlock to join the two pieces.
3b. Press the seam open.
3c. Repeat Steps 3a–3b for the back lining pieces.
4. Bind the Neckline
Cut two bias binding strips:
- One equal to the combined length of the front neckline and back neckline, plus an additional 2 inches.
- One measuring 40 inches long.
4a. Place the prepared front main fabric and front lining with their wrong sides together. Align the neckline and pin.
4b. Place the prepared back main fabric and back lining with their wrong sides together. Align the back across seamline and pin.
4c. Feed the binding strip into the binder attachment. Stitch approximately ½ inch to secure the binding, then insert the neckline seam allowance into the binding.
4d. Continue stitching the binding as illustrated in the sewing guide.
4e. Sew the binding continuously from one end of the neckline to the other.
4f. Repeat Steps 4c–4e to bind the back across edge.
4g. Check that both the prepared front and prepared back pieces are neatly bound on the wrong side before continuing.
5. Finish the Hem
5a. Fold the hem of the prepared back lining to the wrong side and press. Coverstitch from the right side so the neat double stitch appears on the front. Stitch only through the lining.
5b. Repeat the same process for the prepared back main fabric.
Repeat Steps 5a–5b for the prepared front lining.
6. Sew the Side Seams
Place the prepared front and back panels together with right sides facing. Align the side seams, pin, and overlock both side seams.
7. Create the Cow Hitch Knot
Follow the illustrations in the sewing guide for the knot construction.
7a. Cut a 4-inch piece from the remaining binding strip and thread it through the ring.
7b. Take the remaining 36-inch binding strip and place it over the ring so it forms a semicircular loop opposite the 4-inch binding.
7c. Pass both loose ends of the long binding strip through the loop.
7d. Pull the ends firmly to tighten and complete the cow hitch knot.
8. Attach the Halter Tie
Place both ends of the 5-inch binding tie at the center top front neckline. Align the tie ends with the bottom edge of the neckline binding and secure them using back-and-forth stitches.
